Carr, Kris, and Chad Sarno. Crazy Sexy Kitchen: 150 Plant-empowered Recipes to Ignite a Mouthwatering Revolution. Carlsbad, CA: Hay House, 2012. Print.
Carr's book offers her personal insight on using food as medicine instead of pills. Carr had stage IV incurable sarcoma cancer with only months to live. Many oncologists suggested she remove her liver and both lungs. At 31 years old, that was not an option. Instead, Carr switched her eating habits to green, healthy foods, which also included many super foods. Currently, 10 years later she has changed her lifestyle and is feeling better than she did before she was diagnosed. Her cookbook is part of her life that she is sharing with others to facilitate a healthy change in other people's lifestyles. This goes to show different foods can have a positive effect on the body and can change your health instantly.
